After stepping away from her Spotify deal, Meghan Markle is making a comeback in the podcasting world.
The Duchess of Sussex is launching a brand-new series called Confessions of a Female Founder, set to debut next month through Lemonada Media.
A Fresh Start with Lemonada Media
Meghan signed a partnership with Lemonada in February 2024 following the end of her Spotify contract in 2023.
Unlike her first podcast, Archetypes, which lasted just one season, this new project aims to dive deep into the world of female entrepreneurship.
The show will feature candid conversations with businesswomen and friends who share their experiences in building successful companies.
According to Lemonada, the podcast offers a unique opportunity for listeners to “be a fly on the wall” as Meghan engages in raw, unfiltered discussions about the triumphs and challenges of starting a business.
A trailer for the series drops on March 25, with the first episode airing on April 8.
Meghan Shares Her Excitement
Announcing the news on Instagram, Meghan shared a glimpse of the podcast’s cover art and expressed her enthusiasm for the project.
She described the experience as “absolutely eye-opening, inspiring…and fun!”
“I’m so excited to share with you something else I’ve been working on: Confessions Of A Female Founder!
I’ve been having candid conversations with amazing women who have turned dreams into realities and scaled small ideas into massively successful businesses.
They’re opening up, sharing their tips, tricks (and tumbles), and letting me pick their brains as I build out my own business, As Ever.”
In a statement to Deadline, Meghan emphasized how proud she is of the podcast and the honest discussions it will feature.
“Through my friendships and relationships, we’re able to dive into the type of insights that everyone wants to know as they’re building a business,” she said.
What to Expect from the Podcast
Lemonada Media co-founders Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs praised Meghan for her ability to create a welcoming atmosphere in her interviews.
“She creates a comfortable space for her guests to bring fascinating personal stories to the table and open up in a way they likely haven’t before publicly,” said Wittels Wachs.
“Listeners can expect conversations that are way more break room than boardroom.”
The podcast will also document Meghan’s own journey into entrepreneurship as she prepares to launch her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Topics will range from knowing your worth and trusting your instincts to securing investors and self-investment.
A Look Back at Archetypes
Before teaming up with Lemonada, Meghan hosted Archetypes, a podcast that explored the labels that hold women back.
The series, which featured guests like Mariah Carey and Jameela Jamil, became Spotify’s No. 1 podcast in 47 countries and won a People’s Choice Award.
However, the Sussexes’ deal with Spotify ended in 2023, leading to speculation about their next moves in the media industry.
A top Spotify executive later made headlines by calling Meghan and Harry “f***ing grifters” after they produced only one season for the platform.
Despite this, Archetypes proved to be a hit, with around one million listens per episode.
Meghan’s Netflix Ventures Continue
Alongside her podcast, Meghan has also been expanding her presence on Netflix.
Her new lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, premiered on March 4 but received poor critical reviews.
The Guardian described it as “gormless lifestyle filler,” while The Telegraph called it “insane” and “an exercise in narcissism.”
Despite the backlash, Netflix has confirmed a second season, set to arrive in the fall.
The eight-part show featured Meghan sharing hosting tips, cooking with celebrity friends like Mindy Kaling, and reflecting on her personal experiences.
Prince Harry made a brief appearance in the season finale, joining Meghan, her mother Doria Ragland, and friends for a celebratory brunch.
In an interview with People, Meghan revealed that her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, visited her on set.
She also spoke about how her and Harry’s daily “nightcap recap”—where they discuss their day—has strengthened their bond.
“My husband met me when I had [the former lifestyle website] The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.
It’s almost like a honeymoon period again.”
The Future of Meghan’s Media Empire
In addition to her podcast and Netflix show, Meghan recently launched her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
The brand’s first products include raspberry jam and floral sprinkles, both prominently featured in With Love, Meghan.
With a $100 million Netflix deal still in place, Meghan and Harry continue to explore new media projects.
Their previous collaborations with the streaming giant included the controversial Harry & Meghan documentary, which accused the royal family of mistreatment, and the sports-focused Polo series.
What’s Next?
As Meghan ventures deeper into entrepreneurship and podcasting, it’s clear she’s carving out her own path beyond royal life.
With her new podcast set to launch and a second season of With Love, Meghan on the way, fans can expect to hear more from the Duchess in the coming months.
Whether her latest projects will be embraced or critiqued remains to be seen, but one thing is certain—Meghan Markle isn’t stepping away from the spotlight anytime soon.
