As devastating wildfires continue to rage across Los Angeles, Meghan Markle’s much-anticipated Netflix series has been put on hold.
The Duchess of Sussex confirmed the delay, citing the urgent need to focus on supporting those affected by the crisis.
A Series Rooted in Love and Lifestyle
Titled With Love, Meghan, the eight-episode lifestyle and cooking show was set to premiere this week.
The series, featuring Markle’s personal tips on cooking, gardening, and hosting, has now been rescheduled for March.
Netflix described the project as a “heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California.”
Meghan’s Statement on the Delay
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Meghan shared her gratitude for Netflix’s understanding of the situation.
“I’m thankful to my partners at Netflix for supporting me in delaying the launch, as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California,” she said in a statement.
Meghan and Prince Harry, who reside in Montecito, a coastal town north of Los Angeles, have been actively involved in wildfire relief efforts.
Harry and Meghan’s Efforts to Help
Last week, the couple was spotted in Pasadena, comforting survivors of the fires.
They also issued a public appeal encouraging Californians to offer shelter to evacuees.
“If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do,” read a statement posted to their official website.
According to reports, the couple has been personally hosting displaced friends and loved ones.
They’ve also donated essential supplies, including clothing and children’s items, to those in need.
A Star-Studded Lineup
A trailer for With Love, Meghan offers a glimpse of the Duchess sharing her creative passions, from crafting and flower arranging to cooking.
The show will feature notable guests such as acclaimed chef Alice Waters, actress Mindy Kaling, and Abigail Spencer, Meghan’s former Suits co-star.
Prince Harry even makes a brief appearance.
Building a New Path
Since stepping back from royal duties in early 2020, Meghan and Harry have carved out their own entrepreneurial path.
Their partnership with Netflix previously produced the widely discussed Harry & Meghan docuseries, released in December 2022.
In addition to her Netflix endeavors, Meghan launched a lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, in March 2024, further showcasing her creative ventures.
