Today, the Chancellor will make a statement proposing budgetary sustainability-enhancing measures from the Medium-Term Fiscal Plan.

Later today, the Chancellor will deliver a statement introducing budgetary sustainability-enhancing policies from the Medium-Term Fiscal Plan.
This afternoon, he will also deliver a statement before the House of Commons.
This follows the Prime Minister’s announcement on Friday, as well as additional discussions between the Prime Minister and the Chancellor over the weekend, in order to guarantee that sustainable public finances back economic growth.
Then, on October 31, the Chancellor will release the comprehensive Medium-Term Fiscal Plan alongside a projection from the independent Office of Budget Responsibility.
Last night, the Chancellor briefed the Governor of the Bank of England and the Head of the Debt Management Office on his preparations.
