The Mastercard Foundation, in collaboration with Arizona State University (ASU), is offering 160 fully funded graduate scholarships over the next five years (2025 – 2030).
This program is designed to equip talented students with the skills and education needed to make a meaningful impact in their communities.
Study Online with In-Person Support in Rwanda
This unique scholarship allows students to pursue an ASU Online graduate degree while benefiting from on-the-ground support at Kepler College in Rwanda.
The program blends the flexibility of online learning with the structured guidance, mentorship, and resources available at Kepler College.

What the Scholarship Covers
For the 2025/2026 academic year, 40 scholarships are up for grabs! If selected, your scholarship will cover:
- Full tuition and fees
- Accommodation and living expenses
- Visa application costs
- English language test fees
- Airfare to and from Kigali, Rwanda
- Books, study materials, and medical expenses
- Participation in leadership development programs and mentorship opportunities
- A fully funded two-month summer experience at ASU in the United States
Who Should Apply?
This opportunity is open to highly motivated individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Citizens of an African country with a passion for ethical leadership and community engagement
- Aged between 18 and 33 by the application deadline
- Hold an undergraduate degree by July 2025
- Have a strong academic record and leadership experience
- Demonstrate financial need and a commitment to making a difference
- Must not have started or completed another graduate program before August 2025
- Must be willing to reside in Kigali, Rwanda for the duration of the program

- MS Global Technology and Development
- MSE Sustainable Engineering
- MS Information Technology
- MS Business Analytics
- MEd Learning Design and Technologies
