The police confiscated Mandrax worth R40 000 in Wolseley in the Western Cape on Friday, 28 January.
MANDRAX WORTH R40 000 CONFISCATED IN WOLSELEY
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson in the Western Cape said an integrated operation, involving Crime Intelligence, Anti-Gang Unit, Wolseley and Winelands police, was carried out on Friday.
“Information received was followed up and search warrants were executed at drug dealer’s premises in the area,” said van Wyk.
According to the police report, a 42-year-old man was arrested on a farm near Wolseley and a 53-year-old woman was arrested at a house in Rose Street, Pinevalley.
The combined street value of the 1315 Mandrax tablets recovered is an estimated R40 000.
The suspects are being held in Wolsely and are expected to appear before the local Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 31 January on charges of possession of Mandrax
