Police are investigating after a man was reportedly shot Tuesday evening in the Lake City neighborhood.
Around 8 p.m., police were called to the 11700 block of Lake City Way Northeast for a report of a wounded man.
When officers arrived, they found the injured 40-year-old victim.
According to a police report, despite a “spurting” gunshot wound to his leg, the man initially refused officers’ attempts to apply a tourniquet and declined to go to a hospital. He also refused to provide information about the incident.
Seattle Fire Department medics were eventually able to convince the man to go to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.
