Man Wounded in Ballard Shooting

A 39-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Ballard late Monday evening.

Shortly after 11 p.m., police received reports Seattle Fire Department medics were at 17th Avenue Northwest and Northwest 53rd Street, treating a man with a gunshot wound to his neck.

The man declined to provide information to police about the shooting, and witnesses left the area before officers could interview them,

Seattle Fire Department medics treated the victim and transported him to Harborview Medical Center.
