Man wounded in a stabbing in South Seattle

Tuesday evening, a man was stabbed and injured in South Seattle.

A guy contacted 911 at 8:30 p.m. to report being stabbed between 23rd Avenue South and South Holgate Street.

Officers came and administered treatment to the victim until Seattle Fire Department medics took over.

Police discovered that the victim was smoking a cigarette at a bus stop when he was approached by another guy who requested a cigarette. The victim refused, at which point the suspect stabbed him in the arm.

The person was brought to Harborview Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.
