Police are looking for the shooter who killed another guy in a city home’s front yard.

At 3.25 am on Tuesday, according to Queensland Police, police officers created a crime scene at a home on Cliveden Avenue in Oxley, southwest of Brisbane.

Right now, the incident is being investigated as a murder.

Due to the inquiry, the drop-off area for the adjoining Corinda State School will be blocked until after 9am, delaying the start of Term Four for pupils.

The school posted on Facebook that parents were urged to leave extra time for school drop-off this morning because Cliveden Avenue was blocked because of an emergent crisis.

The Corinda State High School and nearby streets are both open.

The adjoining Eden Academy childcare center is impacted by the murder scene.
