Man Seriously Injured in SODO Shooting

One man was seriously injured late Thursday in a shooting in SODO.

Around 11 pm, officers responded to reports of gunfire near 8^th Avenue and Massachusetts Street.

At the scene, officers found a man with gunshot wounds, who was receiving treatment from King County Sheriff’s Deputies, who also responded to the incident.

Police learned the victim was standing on the street when a known suspect pulled up in a vehicle, shot him, and drove away.

Medics transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
