Man reportedly films girl in Perth bathroom

A man has been charged with secretly photographing a 10-year-old girl in a bar restroom.

The 45-year-old man was apprehended by detectives on Thursday after they spent nearly two days looking for him.

Around 7.10 p.m. on Tuesday, the suspect allegedly recorded the girl as she was using the restroom at the Belmont Tavern in the Cloverdale neighbourhood of Perth.

The girl, who was at the time in the bathroom with her family, ran out and informed her parents that she had seen the man in the restroom across from them.

After being seen leaving the restroom, the suspect was seen leaving the Belmont Tavern on foot.

He was noted as being between 6′ and 6’1.5″ tall and dressed in dark attire at the time.

The man was toting a bag made by adidas.

On Thursday, he was taken into custody by officers from the serious offender management squad.

He is accused of recording a child under the age of 13 indecently.

The investigation is still ongoing.
