Man Killed During Robbery in Buffelsdraai, KZN

This morning, a robbery in an informal settlement in Buffelsdraai, KZN, resulted in the shooting and death of a man (Saturday).

At around 1:00, the Verulam SAPS made a request for medical assistance to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA). When RUSA medics were called to the scene, they discovered the victim on the floor of his home, lying in a pool of blood. He was shot in the face once and passed away right there.

It is alleged that the deceased was approached by two unknown men when he exited his house to retrieve a bucket. The suspects forced him into the dwelling where they robbed him and his girlfriend for their cellphones and cash. The victim allegedly resisted when he was shot. The robbers thereafter fled.
The female victim was not injured.
