And the fact that Mako had to be rushed to hospital clearly points to the seriousness of the injury the Pirates man suffered in the process.

Football fans and players around the country continue to send their thoughts and prayers for Mako to recover from the horrific head injury.

Mako and Ofori both ran for the same ball in an attempt to protect their goal posts, with the latter acting as a sweeper.

However, the situation deteriorated to the point where there was blood everywhere and Mako required immediate medical assistance on the pitch.
