Luke Littler Heads to Alicante to Celebrate His World Darts Championship Victory and Enjoy a Well-Deserved Break

After his incredible victory in the World Darts Championship, Luke Littler has decided to take a well-deserved break in Spain.

The 17-year-old darts prodigy, who made history with his 7-3 triumph over Michael van Gerwen at Ally Pally last Friday, is soaking in the sun as he enjoys his newfound status as the youngest-ever World Darts Champion.

Littler is spending some time in Alicante before heading off to the Bahrain Darts Masters.

A Relaxing Getaway Despite Tax Bill Woes

While Littler’s victory has earned him a £500,000 prize, he’s not escaping the reality of taxes.

Despite being hit by a significant tax bill, the young champion has enough to treat himself to a little luxury.

He shared a peaceful moment on Instagram with his 1.8 million followers, posting a video of himself walking along the Playa del Albir promenade, with the beach and clear skies in the background.

It’s still unclear who Littler is vacationing with, but he’s clearly making the most of his break.

Big Purchases and Growing Career

Despite his young age, Littler is already planning for his future.

In a recent interview, he mentioned his desire to buy a Mercedes A-Class, even though he’s not yet old enough to drive.

At 17, soon to turn 18, Littler has already racked up over £1 million in career earnings, but not all of that will end up in his pocket. The teenager has had to pay taxes on his winnings, including a whopping £369,384 bill for the 2024 calendar year after earning £811,000.

Impressive Earnings and Sponsorship Deals

Littler’s career earnings before his World Championship win were £1,013,500, and after his recent success, he’s added another £500,000 to that total.

However, a significant portion of that money is taken by taxes.

In addition to his winnings, Littler also has lucrative sponsorship deals, including one with Target Darts, which could be worth millions.

Confirmed for 2025 Premier League Darts Line-Up

In addition to his World Championship win, Littler has also been confirmed for the 2025 Premier League Darts line-up.

His place in the prestigious competition was officially announced on Monday.

Last season, in his first year on the Pro Tour, Littler made an impact by winning the Premier League.

Just days after finishing as runner-up in the World Championship, his participation in the 2025 Premier League was confirmed, solidifying his place as one of the brightest stars in darts.
