Rachel Kolisi recently celebrated her 35th birthday, and she was pleasantly surprised by a thoughtful gift from Liyema, her estranged husband Siya Kolisi’s younger brother.

Despite Liyema not being able to attend the birthday celebrations due to his new work commitments, he managed to make Rachel’s special day even more memorable with a surprise delivery later in the week.

A Special Cake and Meaningful Gift

Rachel shared the lovely gesture on her Instagram stories, describing Liyema as a “most thoughtful gentleman.”

She mentioned that although he was busy with work and couldn’t join the birthday festivities, he made sure to surprise her with a cake and a gift a few days later.

Rachel was clearly touched by the gesture and expressed her appreciation for him.

A Heartfelt Birthday Tribute from Liyema

In addition to the gift, Liyema also penned a heartfelt tribute to Rachel, praising her for being a “mother figure” in his life.

The sweet message was shared via an Instagram story on January 21st, where Liyema conveyed his gratitude for Rachel’s presence in his life.

He expressed his love for her and wished her many more years of happiness and cherished memories.

Liyema’s words highlighted the close relationship the Kolisi family shares, especially since Rachel and Siya took on the responsibility of adopting Liyema and his siblings after the tragic passing of their parents.

Rachel and Siya’s Personal Journey

Although Rachel and Siya Kolisi made the decision to divorce in 2021 after eight years of marriage, they continue to maintain a strong, supportive friendship, especially when it comes to co-parenting their two children, Nicholas (10) and Keziah (7).

Their mutual respect for one another has remained intact despite their changing relationship.

Rachel’s continued closeness with Siya’s siblings is a testament to the family bond they have built over the years.

Rachel’s Family Vacation and Liyema’s Absence

In December, Rachel took Siya’s sister, Liphelo, along on a family vacation to Sydney, Australia.

Unfortunately, Liyema couldn’t join the trip due to his new job and lack of vacation leave.

Still, the Kolisi family’s continued connection and the love they share is evident in the way they support one another, no matter the circumstances.
