Lisa Riley has been candid about the incredible transformation in her life, revealing how she dropped six dress sizes after losing 12 stone.
The Emmerdale actress, 49, is currently showing off her determination on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Eddie Kadi, Shona McGarty, and Kelly Brook.
Talking about the changes to her body, Lisa explained that she underwent a two-session breast lift following her weight loss.
She said, “I’m now a size 16-18, but at my biggest I was a size 28.”
Her honesty struck a chord with fans who’ve followed her inspiring journey.
Breaking Old Habits for Good
Lisa reflected on what had held her back for years, revealing that portion control was a major struggle.
“My absolute guilt for years and years was blindness to portion control… I’ve completely cut out nibbling,” she admitted.
The star shared that she structures her meals carefully, only eating carbs before 1:30 p.m., having a big lunch, and keeping dinners light and before 7 p.m.
“I’m never lazy, I think it’s hereditary, I really do,” she joked, showing her sense of humor alongside her discipline.
Responding to Public Criticism
Earlier this year, Lisa found herself responding to comedian Peter Kay after he made a “cruel” joke about her weight during a Manchester gig.
Witnesses claimed Peter compared a fan to Lisa, shouting, “Go on, off you go Lisa Riley.”
Rather than responding with anger, Lisa posted a positivity quote online: “We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorns have roses.”
She added, “See the good in life… before you ALWAYS jump to the negative… it’s such a simpler way to live for sure #grateful #gratitude #nomoaning #think.”
Jack Osbourne Shares Heartbreaking Memories of Ozzy
Elsewhere in the jungle camp, Jack Osbourne opened up about the loss of his father, Black Sabbath legend Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away in July.
The 40-year-old recalled the chaotic period in Ozzy’s life, including solo albums, infamous antics, and tragic events involving his guitarist Randy Rhoads.
Jack recounted one infamous incident when Ozzy, during a promotional meet-and-greet, bit the head off a dove in front of CBS executives.
“He sits on the lap of this exec… he grabs the dove, bites its head off and spits it on her.
It was pandemonium, and instantly his album charted,” Jack said, sharing a mix of humor and disbelief about his father’s legendary antics.
Martin Kemp Opens Up About Health Struggles
Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp also shared his personal battles, talking about dyslexia and brain tumours.
Martin, who had two tumours removed in 1995, explained how the operation left him struggling with reading.
“Mine is from an operation, taking away a brain tumour… when I read, all the ends of the words jumble around,” he said.
He described a terrifying moment on a show in Canada when a lump appeared on the back of his head during makeup for a role.
The tumour had begun growing into the bone, and he needed emergency surgery followed by stereotactic radiation.
Martin revealed, “For a while I lost everything, I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t see, I was a train wreck afterwards.”
Recovery, Reflection, and Resilience
Despite the challenges, Martin has recovered physically, though the dyslexia remains.
His story, alongside Lisa and Jack’s, highlighted the courage and resilience of the celebrities navigating both personal and professional hurdles in the jungle.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues Thursday on ITV1 and ITVX.
