The collapsed bridge was situated along Kilometer One of the Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway, precisely between Naira Triangle and the Goshen Flyover.

In an official statement signed by Gerald Otiji, the Commissioner of Works for the state, road users were urgently advised to consider alternative routes for their travel.
The suggested alternative routes are New Haven and Ogui Road, which can be used to reach their respective destinations.
The statement also reassured the public that the authorities would promptly implement measures for the immediate repair of the damaged section of the bridge.
