Linda Hogan’s public war of words with her daughter, Brooke Hogan, has taken yet another unexpected turn, drawing attention to the strained dynamics within their family.
This week, Linda, 65, launched into a heated exchange with her daughter, 36, after making several explosive claims about the family, including accusing her ex-husband, wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, of being a “complete liar” and a “sex addict.”
But in a dramatic shift, Linda surprised everyone on Saturday when she publicly defended the WWE star.
Linda’s Defense of Hulk Hogan
Despite admitting that her marriage to Hulk, whose real name is Terry Bollea, ended poorly and calling him a “s****y husband,” Linda insisted that Hulk had always been a good father.
She emphasized that Hulk’s role as a father shouldn’t be overshadowed by their past.
In a statement to TMZ, Linda noted that Hulk spent “over $3 million” supporting Brooke’s career.
She went on to argue that despite their troubled marriage, Hulk had consistently been present for their children.
Linda also used the opportunity to take another jab at her daughter, Brooke, accusing her of deliberately distancing herself from her parents for “selfish” reasons, which she believes would negatively affect Brooke’s own children.
The Family Rift Deepens
Linda’s comments highlighted the deepening rift between her and Brooke.
Linda described Brooke’s actions as “unprecedented, unexpected, and unfair,” and claimed that both Hulk and the rest of the family were “really distraught” over Brooke’s distance.
She expressed her frustration, noting how Brooke had recently gotten married and had twins with her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, without informing them.
Linda went on to say that the damage had already been done and that Brooke’s behavior could not hurt them any further.
“I wish them well but she has left a path of destruction,” Linda added, clearly disillusioned with the state of their relationship.
Brooke Fires Back at Linda’s Claims
Brooke, however, fired back at her mother’s accusations.
Earlier in the week, she made it clear that Hulk was not the sole reason behind the family divide and that Linda’s claims were not entirely accurate.
Linda, in turn, denied ever abusing her daughter, calling Brooke’s statements about her a “lie.” She accused her daughter of being a “narcissist” like her father, Hulk.
Reflecting on their fractured relationship, Linda shared that she had not spoken to Brooke for nearly eight years, further underscoring the deep divide between them.
Brooke later posted a family photo on social media, which she believed contradicted her mother’s allegations.
A Tumultuous Family History
The tensions between Linda and Brooke trace back to the early 2000s, but things became particularly strained after Linda and Hulk divorced in 2009 after 26 years of marriage.
Together, they had two children—Brooke and Nick, 34.
Following their split, Hulk remarried in 2010 to Jennifer McDaniel, but they too eventually separated after 11 years of marriage.
In 2023, Hulk married for the third time, tying the knot with Sky Daily in a ceremony that Brooke did not attend.
Linda, in a candid moment with TMZ, reflected on the role she played as a stricter parent, especially in the years after the divorce.
She explained that Hulk, by contrast, was often the “soft touch” who wanted to be liked by their children.
Linda believed that Brooke had sided with her father after the divorce, perhaps to maintain her connection to his fame and fortune.
The Future of the Hogan Family
With the ongoing fallout from Linda and Brooke’s public dispute, it’s clear that the family’s dynamics are far from healing.
Both women have expressed their grievances and frustrations in the media, and with no signs of reconciliation in sight, the path forward remains uncertain.
Linda’s U-turn in defending Hulk, following her earlier harsh criticism, has left many questioning the authenticity of the ongoing feud.
Despite their differences, Linda and Hulk’s relationship as parents continues to play a significant role in the ongoing drama surrounding their family’s private lives.
