‘Let’s not turn a blind eye’: MaMkhize urges Mzansi to support Zola 7

Royal AM owner and businesswoman Shauwn “MaMkhize” Mkhize has urged South Africans not to turn a blind eye to veteran musician Bonginkosi “Zola 7″ Dlamini – via an Instagram post on 10 March – after a viral video sparked health concerns.

MaMKhize spent some time with Zola 7 when he visited her at her Sandton home. The Royal AM owner urged Mzansi not to turn a blind eye to the musician’s health struggles. Zola 7 was diagnosed with epilepsy a few years ago. MaMkhize shared a picture of herself along with Zola 7 and her son Andile Mpisane.

“Spending some much needed time with my brother @jamazola7. Guys, I just want to encourage all of us to do the right thing especially when it comes to one of our own. Zola is an unsung hero who has been a catalyst for change in our society for many years,” she wrote.

“Let’s not turn a blind eye. #ShowZolaLove 💙💙💙. Thank you to my sis @nozipho_ngubo for reminding me of our mothers lessons of ubuntu…ngiyabonga,” she continued.

MaMkhize shared a video of herself and Zola 7 in a car as she thanked him for visiting her. Tshisa LIVE reports that the musician got to drive a Bentley at the Mkhize home and there were more spoils.

“@jamazola7 thank you for visiting us today and we’ll be seeing you soon. ❤❤❤ All those that can lend a helping hand let’s come together and show up for one of our own. @business_malcolm_x @kenny_kunene @realpatricemotsepe @nathimthethwa_sa,” she wrote.
