Laura Woods celebrates a huge career boost in London as her TNT Sports deal doubles her fortune while she opens up about personal heartbreak and healing

For sports presenter Laura Woods, the past year has been a rollercoaster of triumphs and trials — a blend of soaring professional success and deeply personal reflection.

As she continues to cement her place among Britain’s most beloved broadcasters, she’s also been remarkably open about the difficult journey she and her fiancé, Adam Collard, faced on their path to parenthood.

A Big Pay Rise and a Career Glow-Up

Laura’s move from talkSPORT to TNT Sports wasn’t just a step up in visibility — it was a massive financial boost too.

The 38-year-old presenter reportedly saw her wealth skyrocket from £635,000 to £1.5 million between January and December 2024, according to newly released company accounts.

Her production firm, The Pig and I Limited, which she founded back in 2014, now boasts assets worth over £1 million.

That impressive figure comes largely from her new role as the face of TNT Sports’ Champions League coverage, where she’s earning a reported £800,000 per year — a huge leap from the £250,000 she made at talkSPORT.

It’s clear her move paid off — quite literally. Records show she has £1.2 million in the bank, paid £300,000 in tax, and took a modest £1,000 dividend for herself.

A Lighthearted On-Air Slip That Went Viral

Despite her professionalism, even the most polished presenters have their moments — and Laura’s recent on-air slip had fans and colleagues in stitches.

While analysing Liverpool’s dramatic 3-2 win over Atlético Madrid, she accidentally mixed up names, saying:
Diego Simeone, obviously quite a fiery character, he got himself sent off after the winner from Virgin… Virgil van Dijk.

The hilarious slip left pundits Steve McManaman and Michael Owen chuckling in the background.

Thankfully, the camera was showing a replay at the time — sparing viewers the full reaction.

When the feed cut back, Laura and her colleagues were still visibly trying to keep straight faces.

Opening Up About Loss and Finding Strength

Away from the cameras, Laura has been just as candid about her personal life.

Earlier this year, she shared the heartbreaking story of suffering a miscarriage before the birth of her son, Leo, who she welcomed in January with her fiancé, Love Island’s Adam Collard.

Laura revealed she was 11 weeks pregnant when she miscarried, before falling pregnant again just a month later.

Her honesty about grief, healing, and motherhood has struck a chord with many of her followers.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, she reflected on the emotional contrast of mourning one child while cherishing another.

Sometimes I look at Leo and I think of the baby we’ll never meet, while also knowing we wouldn’t have Leo without it happening,” she wrote.
She recalled a nurse’s comforting words — “this little one wasn’t meant for this world… it’s its way of keeping you safe” — which helped her find peace.

Adam Collard Breaks Down While Sharing Their Story

Her fiancé, Adam Collard, also opened up about their loss in an emotional moment on Channel 4’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

In tears, he spoke about the grief and depression he faced after the miscarriage, admitting how difficult it was to navigate such a painful chapter while preparing to become a father again.

One of them was with my partner… and… we lost something… when it was really close to getting there a second time and telling everyone,” he said through tears.

Laura later shared a clip from the show, expressing her pride and love for him:
We really had some very awful times last year, but this big, beautiful man has got me through every one of them. And I’ve been so very proud watching him.

A Year of Growth, Love, and Resilience

Through all the highs and heartbreaks, Laura Woods continues to radiate strength — both as a top-tier broadcaster and a woman embracing the realities of life, love, and loss.

Her honesty, humour, and humility have only deepened the public’s affection for her, proving that even in the toughest seasons, grace and resilience can shine through.
