Kwazulu Private Ambulance Service attended to reports of an accident on Seaslopes Road in Margate early this morning.

When the rescue services came, they discovered that a car had crashed down an embankment, lost control, abandoned the road, and started burning.

In a brief assessment of the site, paramedics discovered that one patient had suffered critical injuries.

Prior to being taken to the hospital for additional care, the patient received treatment on the spot.
