Kelly Osbourne breaks down during emotional Grammy tribute as she remembers late father Ozzy Osbourne in Los Angeles

Grief was impossible to hide for Kelly Osbourne at the 2026 Grammy Awards, as the TV personality shared an emotional tribute to her late father, Ozzy Osbourne.

The night was a mix of celebration and heartbreak, with Kelly breaking down alongside her mother, Sharon, and brother, Jack, during the ceremony’s poignant “In Memoriam” segment.

Speaking candidly on the red carpet, Kelly, 41, described losing her father as “the hardest thing I’ve ever been through” and revealed the small daily rituals she practices to keep his memory alive.

She spoke about lighting a candle, leaving a seat empty at the table, and wearing a special locket with Ozzy’s photo, which her three-year-old son, Sidney, kisses daily.

“Every time I see the clock at 11:11, I know that’s him talking to me,” she shared.

Remembering the Prince of Darkness

Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, passed away at his Buckinghamshire home on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76 due to heart failure.

Kelly didn’t hold back in describing him as “one of the greatest men to ever live,” highlighting not only his impact on music but also the deep love within their family.

Supported by her fiancé, Sid Wilson, and their young son, Kelly admitted she isn’t “fine” despite the usual social niceties.

“I won’t lie… I’m not doing so great,” she said, adding that the shared grief has strengthened her bond with her mother and brother in ways she never imagined possible.

A Grammy Tribute Full of Tears

The Osbournes were visibly emotional as Post Malone, Slash, Duff McKagan, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt performed Black Sabbath’s classic War Pigs during the “In Memoriam” segment, which also honored artists like Roberta Flack and D’Angelo.

Kelly and her family were seen wiping tears as the powerful performance unfolded.

“It means more than I can express in words,” Kelly reflected during the live Grammy red carpet stream.

“To see his peers and this community cherish him in such a way, and in a way that he deserves… it was very emotional.”

Sharon Osbourne and Yungblud Celebrate Ozzy

The Grammy tributes weren’t limited to Kelly’s reflections.

Sharon Osbourne also became emotional during the Premiere Ceremony when British rocker Yungblud won Best Rock Performance for his rendition of Ozzy’s song Changes from Black Sabbath’s final 2025 concert.

Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, gave a heartfelt, profanity-laced speech: “To grow up loving an idol who helps you figure out your identity, not only as a musician, but also as a man, is something I’m really grateful for.”

He added that meeting Ozzy and performing at his last concert left him in awe, concluding, “God bless Ozzy Osbourne and god bless f*****g rock music!”

Honoring Ozzy’s Monumental Legacy

Over a career spanning six decades, Ozzy Osbourne sold more than 100 million albums and left an indelible mark with hits like Iron Man and Crazy Train.

He won five Grammys—two with Black Sabbath and three as a solo artist—cementing his place among music’s most enduring icons.
