Katie Price shares heartbreaking update as son Harvey’s weight reaches nearly 30 stone and leaves him struggling to walk at their UK home

Katie Price has opened up about her ongoing worries for her eldest son Harvey, revealing his weight has soared to nearly 30 stone—putting his health and life at serious risk.

“Heartbroken and Gutted”: Katie’s Pain Over Harvey’s Weight

In a candid video shared on Snapchat Sunday night, the 46-year-old former glamour model emotionally explained how her 22-year-old son’s size is affecting his quality of life.

Harvey, who is blind, autistic, and lives with Prader-Willi syndrome, now weighs 188kg—just a few kilograms shy of 30 stone.

“I’m so heartbroken and gutted that his weight is just going up,” Katie said.

“I just googled it in stones, and I couldn’t believe it. I’m still waiting for the doctors to get back to me so we can start him on Mounjaro.”

What Is Mounjaro?

Mounjaro is the brand name for the drug tirzepatide—a weight loss injection that’s been praised as more powerful than Ozempic.

It’s sometimes referred to as the “King Kong” of slimming jabs, and Katie hopes it could be a game-changer for Harvey’s health journey.

Watching Him Struggle: “It’s So Sad”

Katie didn’t hold back her emotions, describing how painful it is to see Harvey suffer with limited mobility.

“It’s so sad. His quality of life at the moment… he’s so big, he can’t really do much.

He struggles to walk, to put his trainers on,” she said. “But I love him, and I’m going to help him through this.”

She added that his condition—Prader-Willi syndrome—makes it incredibly difficult for Harvey to control his appetite. “He doesn’t understand. It’s just so sad.”

Previous Efforts and A New Hope

Back in February, Katie had already shared that Harvey was set to start weight loss jabs. At the time, doctors had recommended an Ozempic-style injection to help him shed pounds safely over the long term.

“It’s really, really serious and life-changing for Harvey,” she told The Sun. “He’s at risk of a heart attack and he’s not getting smaller, no matter what we do.”

Katie said doctors plan to monitor Harvey closely over the next one to two years, adjusting the dosage as needed. “We’ve tried food changes, dieticians… it’s just the way he is.”

A Complicated Relationship With His Father

Harvey’s biological father is former Premier League footballer Dwight Yorke, who briefly dated Katie in 2001.

The pair split not long after she became pregnant.

Katie has previously said Dwight has been absent for most of Harvey’s life, claiming, “I think he’s seen Harvey about nine times in his life.”

Despite this, Katie says the door is always open. “I’ve sent him pictures, videos of Harvey playing the piano.

He just ignores everything. But the door is always open, always.”

What Is Prader-Willi Syndrome?

Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare genetic condition caused by a defect on chromosome 15.

It affects around one in every 15,000 children in England and is typically not inherited—it occurs by chance.

Symptoms include:

  • Constant hunger and overeating

  • Restricted growth and low muscle tone

  • Learning difficulties and behavioral issues

  • Delayed sexual development

Children with the syndrome can eat up to six times more than their peers and still feel hungry.

While there’s no cure, treatment focuses on managing symptoms—mainly by sticking to a healthy, strictly managed diet.

The condition was first identified in 1956 by Swiss doctors A. Prader, A. Labhart, and H. Willi.
