In a surprising move, Kanye West has taken to social media to demand that former U.S. President Donald Trump intervene in the legal troubles of Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The hip-hop mogul, who is currently detained at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, is awaiting trial on multiple charges, including sex trafficking.
Kanye West Speaks Out in Support of Diddy
On Friday, West—also known as Ye—used his social media platform to express his belief that Diddy is being unfairly targeted.
In an emotional and profanity-laced post, he insisted that Combs is being made an example of, declaring:
“THEY TRYNA PROVE A POINT AND YALL KNOW THAT YALL F*** KNOW THAT AND SITTING LAUGHING AT THE F*** INTERNET ON INSTAGRAM THIS MAN GAVE HIS LIFE TO US THIS MY IDOL THIS MY HERO.”
West also hinted at a deeper conspiracy behind Diddy’s legal troubles, stating that he was determined to uncover who was truly responsible for the case against him.
“WHOS EVER AFTER PUFF WE GOTTA FIND OUT EXACTLY WHO THEY ARE OK COOL PLAY OFF THE GRID.”
Unafraid of Backlash
Despite the sensitive nature of the allegations against Combs, West made it clear that he was not concerned about any potential backlash from speaking his mind.
He even referenced his past controversial statements, stating:
“WHAT YALL GONE DO CANCEL MY SNEAKER DEAL CANCEL MY RECORD DEAL FREEZE MY ACCOUNTS F*** ALL YALL N**** SLAVERY IS A CHOICE IM SPEAKING MY MIND NOW I AINT EDITING S*** AGAIN EVER.”
West further suggested that the legal battle surrounding Diddy was racially motivated.
He emphasized that while he and Combs have had personal disagreements, he refuses to stay silent when he believes an injustice is being carried out.
“ME AND MY BROTHER HAD OUR ISSUES BUT THESE WHITE PEOPLE TRYING TO USE PUFF TO SCARE N**** IM NEITHER SCARED NOR BRAVE THIS JUST ME.”
Kanye West and Diddy Launch New Clothing Line
Beyond just words, West is taking action to support Diddy.
He announced the launch of a new clothing collaboration with the hip-hop mogul, despite his incarceration.
According to West, this was a project the two had previously discussed, and now, it’s coming to life with the profits split evenly.
“I’m selling the Sean John collaboration that me and my brother spoke about before they locked him up we splitting the profits 50/50.”
However, because Diddy is not legally allowed to earn money while in custody, West clarified that his share of the proceeds would go to Diddy’s son, Justin Combs.
What’s Next for Kanye West and His Support for Diddy?
With West taking such a public stand in defense of Combs, the big question remains: Will his outspoken support impact his career? Could he face backlash from fans, brands, or the industry for aligning himself so strongly with Diddy?
