The announcement was conveyed through a statement released by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa, on Monday night.
Bichi and Sagagi Bring Experience to Key Positions
Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the former Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), played a vital role as the party’s representative during the collation of results in the 2023 gubernatorial election.

His appointment to lead the Gubernatorial Transition Committee of the party demonstrates his experience and expertise.
Wada Shehu Sagagi, the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been appointed as the Chief of Staff.
Additional Appointments Made in Government
The Governor also announced other appointments, including Dr. Farouq Kurawa as the Principal Private Secretary, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Rogo as Chief Protocol, and Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa retaining his position as Chief Press Secretary.
These appointments took effect from Monday, May 29, 2023, and were made based on the appointees’ track records, commitment, and loyalty.

Governor Yusuf has approved new appointments in the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Alhaji Yusuf Lawan has been appointed as the Chairman, and Alhaji Laminu Rabi’u as the Executive Secretary.
The board also includes members such as Shiek Abbas Abubakar Daneji, Shiek Shehi Shehi Maihula, Amb. Munir Lawan, Shiek Isma’il Mangu, Hajia Aishatu Munir Matawalle, and Dr. Sani Ashir.
