KAIZER CHIEFS OUT TO AVOID DEFEAT AT GOLDEN ARROWS

Amakhosi, having lost 1-0 to Golden Arrows in the ‘first round’, will be out to avoid being beaten twice in one season by the same opponent.

If it happens, Arrows would become the THIRD club to complete a league double over Chiefs this season – which is something very rare.

Royal AM and Stellenbosch have already completed the double over Chiefs this season, and Arrows could set the new record.

It could get even worse as Chiefs still have to play a rampant Mamelodi Sundowns side that beat them 2-1 in the first half of the season.

Furthermore, Chiefs will be eager to avoid suffering their third successive defeat this season – they lost 1-0 to SuperSport United which resulted in Stuart Baxter getting fired.

Chiefs, under the tutelage of Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard, then lost Stellenbosch by the same scoreline last weekend.
