Speaking on Gagasa FM, Motaung Jnr admitted that he wants Mbule and that Chiefs and everyone else want the midfielder but there are obstacles.
Motaung Jnr said the problem with wanting a player like Mbule from other teams comes when the said team, in this instance SuperSport United, isn’t interested in releasing the player.
The 40-year-old former Chiefs striker said when that happens, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are not willing to pay or bring in quality players to Naturena.
Motaung Jnr further revealed that some teams in the PSL are sometimes not willing to do business with Chiefs, and thus, making it difficult for them, as a team, to sign the players wanted by everyone, including the fans.
The Amakhosi boss was setting the record straight regarding the notion that the club doesn’t want to compete in the transfer market.
MOTAUNG JNR ADMITS KAIZER CHIEFS WANT SIPHO MBULE
“The thing is, it’s a big misconception. The team has been in the transfer market, the team has gone… Like I said earlier, if, for an example, our fans want Sipho Mbule, I also want Sipho Mbule, we all want Sipho Mbule,” said Motaung Jnr.
“But if Stan Matthews says Sipho Mbule is going nowhere, that’s not me saying that… or the club saying that, ‘we are running away from the number or we don’t want to pay’. It’s all about transactions.”
“And again, we need to understand that a lot of the time, our rivals… people, sometimes don’t want to business with you. That’s just the insdustry we are in,” he continued.
“So, I just wanted to clear it up that it’s a huge misconception,” added Motaung Jnr.
