One thing that has been made very clear by the Football Director, Kaizer Motaung, is that Zwane will be at Amakhosi next season.
“I think, you know, there is no secret that if there is a coach who understands the Kaizer Chiefs philosophy, It’s Arthur Zwane,” Motaung Jnr told iDiskiTimes in recent weeks.
“If there’s a coach who understands modern football and has a blueprint on how to bring the best out of quick, dynamic, youthful, attack-minded footballers it’s Arthur Zwane,” he added.
“It’s no secret that Arthur Zwane has served this club with aplomb as a player, understanding the pressures this club needs and comes with, there’s no secret that the coach has practical elements to develop a pattern of play.
“He has an amazing character and is a great leader and he is a person that understands what this club needs,” Motaung concluded.
Additionally, there have now been new reports that suggest a new coach is expected at Kaizer Chiefs before next season.
Zwane told the media the club will make an announcement on the new coach in due course. But that could be him though, or a third assistant.
HERE ARE FOUR POSSIBLE CANDIDATES TO JOIN AMAKHOSI
Dan Malesela – Marumo Gallants
Adored by fans across Mzansi for his high-passing game that resembles the ‘true Mzansi style.’ On course to win the Nedbank Cup final if Gallants defeat Mamelodi Sundowns.
John Maduka – Royal AM
Simply a strong candidate for Coach of the Season. You just have to look at the log table to see why Kaizer Chiefs might be interested in the soft-spoken Malawian coach. AM’s flamboyant boss Mam’Khize will obviously pull up trees to keep Maduka, but Amakhosi could lure him with an irresistible offer that is now even sorely about money.
Thabo Senong – Sekhukhune United
With Kaizer Chiefs’ clear determination to develop young talent, Senong has deep experience in SA football development, including his long close connection with Chiefs’ Head of Development Molefi Ntseki.
Roger de SA – Egypt Assistant Coach
This could be a surprise decision but a smart one. De Sa has a stellar record with promoting young players since the days of Santos, Wits University, and Ajax Cape Town.
The former goalkeeper is also proven at the highest level with Orlando Pirates and his recent experience as Egypt’s assistant coach.

Conclusion: This is pure speculation, the club could simply hand the permanent role to Zwane, or pull a major surprise by unveiling a head coach that none of us predicted. It could even be one of the Sundowns coaches, the football business is dramatic enough.
