Britney Spears’ upcoming memoir, The Woman In Me, is set to contain some “shocking revelations” about her relationship with Justin Timberlake.
One of the most significant revelations is that Spears had an abortion in the early 2000s because Timberlake “wasn’t ready to be a father.”
Timberlake is reportedly “aware” of his treatment of Spears but has said that he will not speak out about it so as not to “get in the way” of her chance to share her story.
He has also said that he believes the decision to have an abortion was a decision made together and that he intended to keep it a secret forever.
In her memoir, Spears discusses the “agonising” decision to terminate her pregnancy and explains that it went against her religious upbringing.
She also writes that she agreed not to have the baby because Timberlake said they were not ready to be parents.
Timberlake is reportedly “concerned” over what Spears has written in her memoir and his lawyers demanded to read it before it was published, delaying its release for four months.
