Justin Bieber cancels SA gigs on Justice World Tour

Justin Bieber has officially canceled the remainder of his Justice World Tour, citing health concerns, just days before he was scheduled to perform in South Africa.

Sunday, the singer made the announcement on his Instagram account.

As a result of his Ramsay Hunt Syndrome scare in June and his Lyme disease diagnosis in 2020, Justin Bieber has had a challenging few months in terms of his health.

After a month of rest, he resumed his Justice World Tour in July, but life on the road “took its toll.”

After recovering and discussing with my doctors, family, and team, I traveled to Europe in an effort to complete the tour, as he revealed on his Instagram account. Six live performances took a significant toll on me.

He continued, “This past weekend, I played at Rock in Rio and gave my everything to the Brazilian people. After leaving the stage, tiredness overcame me, and I knew I need to prioritize my health at this time.

“Therefore, I will pause my touring for the time being. I will recover, but I need time to relax and recuperate. I am extremely delighted to have brought this performance and our message of Justice to the world.”

It is unknown whether and when Justin Bieber will resume concert performances.

While Beliebers throughout the globe will hope for the star’s complete recovery, it goes without saying that many will be profoundly disappointed.

The pop artist was scheduled to play on September 28 at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town, South Africa. On October 1, Justin Bieber was scheduled to perform in Johannesburg’s FNB Stadium.

Big Concerts has not yet provided an update on upcoming events. Tickets holders will likely receive a full refund from the show’s promoters.
