Just after 16h30 on Wednesday Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the scene of a house fire in Glen Place in the Mosley Park area

Emer-G-Med paramedics responded to the site of a house fire at Glen Place in the Mosley Park neighborhood, west of Durban, at exactly 16:30 on Wednesday.

According to reports from the site, an elderly woman who had suffered devastating burn injuries when her home caught fire was pronounced dead when paramedics arrived.

Members of the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue services put out the fire.

The fire’s origin is a mystery.

The South African Police Services were there, and they will carry out the required investigation as a result.
