Julius Malema and his wife Mantoa unveil EFF-funded school kitchen

Julius Malema and his wife Mantoa Matlala joined forces on Thursday to donate an EFF funded school kitchen to the Moruleng Secondary School.

Malema highlights importance of matric

Speaking to the students of the Polokwane high school during his visit, Malema stressed the importance of obtaining matric to the pupils. With so many coming from a disadvantaged background, the EFF leader warned against unnecessary distractions from this critical goal.

“You will become a miracle in your family, this is possible. The whole family relies on you, some stupid friends disencourage you from paying attention to your books.”

EFF leader tells students they are their family’s ‘only hope’

Reiterating his point, Malema stressed that ‘friends’ who distracted pupils from bettering their lives likely come from ‘better families’. With students murmuring their agreement, the EFF leader continued to say that:

“No one works, you are the only one who has got the potential to obtain matric, it’s only you. You are the only hope for the whole family. You will listen to those who come from better families.”

Malema encouraged students to make education their top priority in order to ensure that their lives, and the lives of their families, are improved.

Commenting on the donation, the EFF explained that the aim of the donation was to ensure that students were focused on their studies and not stressing about where their next meal came from.

“The EFF wants all learners in all schools to be provided with nutritious food, so that they never worry about what to eat, but their books.”

The Red Berets said that the kitchen would ensure that students can enjoy quality learning with nutritional support.

“Malema and his wife Ms Mantoa Matlala arriving at Moruleng Secondary School, in Polokwane today, to hand over a Kitchen that will assist in feeding needy learners on a daily basis to ensure quality learning.”
