In a dramatic turn of events, journalist Tanner Charles, his friend, and their dog found themselves trapped in a burning house as wildfires raged through the North of Rustic Canyon.
Reports say the trio was evacuated after a tense and dangerous ordeal, making it out alive despite the harrowing circumstances.
The Escape From the Flames
Tanner Charles took to social media to share the terrifying moment when he and his friend had to flee their home.
In a video posted on Twitter, Charles captured the last moments before they abandoned the house, scrambling to save what they could.
His dog, thankfully, survived the escape.

Please be praying for him and his family @orlylistens.”
Getty Villa Museum Threatened by Fire
As the fires spread, the famed Getty Villa Museum in the Palisades area also came under threat.
On Tuesday evening, the fire burned through some of the trees and vegetation surrounding the museum.
However, officials confirmed that no structures were damaged and that both staff and the valuable collection remained safe.
The Getty Villa, known for its extensive collection of ancient Greek and Roman art, was spared from the flames.
Wildfires Rage Across Los Angeles
The Palisades wildfire has forced at least 30,000 residents into mandatory evacuations.
The fire, which began near Eaton Canyon, has spread rapidly, growing to 1,000 acres in just six hours.
Meanwhile, another wildfire broke out in Sylmar, San Fernando Valley, covering an estimated 100 acres.
The Hurst Fire, located further away, has already reached 300 acres with a “rapid rate of spread,” prompting more evacuations.
State and Federal Response to the Crisis
In response to the growing fires, Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the state had secured federal funding to help combat the blazes.
As the situation continues to develop, authorities are urging residents to remain prepared for further evacuations.
The intense wildfires show no sign of slowing down, with fire crews working around the clock to contain the flames.
