JONAPWD Holds End Of Year Meeting, Prayer Summit At Abagana Njikoka Council Area

The Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, JONAPWD, Anambra State Chapter, has organized its end of the year meeting and prayer summit to appreciate God for his protection and for sustaining them since the beginning of the year.

 

The event, which took place at St Mark’s Catholic Church, Abagana, Njikoka Council Area, was also aimed at thanking God for a peaceful governorship election in the state and also an opportunity to provide different interventions for the less privileged among them.

JONAPWD is an association, which seeks to disseminate timely and useful information, build capacity, provide social services, and conduct research that will enhance the productivity and quality of life for Persons with Disabilities.

 

Speaking at the event, the chairman, JONAPWD, Anambra State,Mr. Ugochukwu Okeke asked members to always live uprightly, and in thanksgiving to God and avoid regretting their challenges or blame God or their parents for their challenges.

 

Mr. Okeke thanked Governor Willie Obiano and his wife, Dr Ebelechukwu, the chairman, Anambra State Disability Rights Commission, Barrister Chuks Ezewuzie, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue, among numerous others for always putting smile on the faces of Persons with Disabilities.

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, a retired Director of Education and Social Development, Anambra State Local Government Civil Service Commission, Mr. Williams Umeh, expressed happiness with the associations show of care and prayed for the continuation of God’s blessings and longevity.

 

Correspondent Blessing Dennis reports that the meeting and annual prayer summit, themed “Behold, I Will Do a New Thing”, featured praise and worship session, attracted the members of JONAPWD, friends, and well-wishers of the association.
