Jaclyn Smith, the timeless star of Charlie’s Angels, is proving age is just a number.
At 80, she looked radiant in a recent Instagram post where she posed with her only son, Gaston Richmond.
Fans couldn’t help but notice that Jaclyn seemed just as youthful—if not younger—than her 43-year-old son.
Then and Now Moment
The Texas-born actress shared two photos side by side: one from Gaston’s childhood and a modern-day snapshot of mother and son together.
She captioned the post, “Then and now Some things never change, he’s still my Sonshine!” Jaclyn’s highlighted hair framed her glowing face, and her makeup was flawless as she embraced Gaston.
Gaston appeared relaxed and happy, sporting salt-and-pepper hair under a green LA Dodgers cap and matching T-shirt while posing at Jaclyn’s Beverly Hills home.
Behind the Camera Career
Gaston has carved out his own path in television as a camera operator.
He worked on the Party of Five revival in 2020 and Hashtag Blessed: The Movie in 2022.
His credits also include popular series like Shameless, Fresh Off the Boat, Hawthorne, and Three Rivers.
Jaclyn also has a daughter, Spencer Margaret, 40, who is married to actor Fran Kranz.
The Secret to Jaclyn’s Youthful Glow
Despite decades in the spotlight, Jaclyn has maintained a remarkably youthful appearance.
In 2021, she shared one of her secrets on Instagram: a green smoothie packed with healthy ingredients.
She explained the recipe herself: “Here’s a recipe for one of my favorite green smoothies! It’s delicious and gives me a boost of energy!” Ingredients include cucumber, apple, lemon, celery, ginger, spinach, and kale. Blend with water and enjoy.

Remembering Charlie’s Angels
Jaclyn became a household name as Kelly Garrett on Charlie’s Angels, which aired from 1976 to 1981.
She appeared in all 110 episodes, making her the only cast member to stay with the show throughout its entire run.
Even decades later, Jaclyn remains close to her co-star Cheryl Ladd, who played Kris Munroe.
Reflecting on the past, she said, “We stay close, but time marches on… a lot of good, but some sad things too,” remembering the deaths of Farrah Fawcett and David Doyle.
Expanding Her Career Beyond Acting
After Charlie’s Angels, Jaclyn starred in several TV movies, including Florence Nightingale (1985) and Windmills of the Gods (1988).
She also launched a successful fashion line with K-Mart, eventually expanding into bedding and furniture.
She revisited her iconic role in the Charlie’s Angels films, appearing alongside Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz in 2003, and made a cameo in Elizabeth Banks’ more recent adaptation during a training scene.
