Italian social media star Yulia Burtseva has tragically passed away at the age of 38 following a cosmetic procedure in Moscow.
Known for her glamorous lifestyle and candid family posts, Burtseva had more than 74,000 Instagram followers who tuned in to her updates about life with her husband Giuseppe and their young daughter.
According to Russian news outlet MSK1, Burtseva underwent the surgery at a private clinic on January 4, but complications quickly arose.
She was rushed to the hospital where, despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead.

Following her death, the Moscow Investigative Committee confirmed that a criminal case has been opened to determine if negligence played a role.

“A number of forensic examinations, including a medical one, are being ordered,” a statement from the committee, translated by MSK1, said.

Just a few weeks prior, on December 1, she had shared her excitement about another procedure in Samara, Russia, explaining she had previously gotten veneers there because doctors in Naples, Italy, where she lived, lacked experience with the treatment.
She described her results enthusiastically, calling her new smile a “Hollywood smile.”
