The management of G I Okafor and sons limited makers of Winco foam says it will partner any institution whose mission is to nurture the youths to enable them become useful citizens.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Dr Godwin Okafor gave the assurance when the management of Paul University Awka led by its Vice Chancellor Venerable Professor Obiora Nwosu called on him in his office at the Agu-Awka Industrial Layout.
Dr Okafor while commending the management of Paul University Awka for series of courses it introduced for the good of the students said that the Management of GI Okafor and sons limited will make its presence felt in the University.
He used the opportunity to call for increased funding of Private Universities in the country for enhanced teaching and learning.
Dr Okafor who is a community leader in Isuofia Aguata Local Government Area, while promising the management of Paul University Awka of more robust partnership, called on the Federal Government to provide an enabling environment for speedy industrialization of the country.
He described inadequate power supply, multiple taxation and high cost of raw materials as some of the challenges facing Manufacturers in the country.
Earlier the Vice Chancellor of Paul University Awka Venerable Professor Obiora Nwosu who Commended the Management of GI Okafor and sons limited for its high-quality Winco brand of mattresses and pillows, said that the purpose of the visit was to seek more partnerships with the company.
He told Dr Okafor that Paul University is a private University, with Zero tolerance for Cultism, with committed Teachers who are out to give the students the best.
In a remark, the Acting Head of Political Science of the University Dr Simon Ononihu who briefed Dr Okafor about the forthcoming National conference slated between March seventh and ninth 2022, which he said is a collaboration between Paul University Awka and Madonna University Okija and pleaded for the support of the company to make it a huge success.
In a vote of thanks, the Public Relations Officer of Paul University Awka, Sir Ikechukwu Abana Commended Dr Godwin Okafor for making quality his watchword and called for sustainability.
The group later visited various facilities in the company including the show room.
