India logs 258,089 new COVID-19 infections

NEW DELHI, 17th January, 2022 – India saw a 258,089 rise in COVID-19 infections in the past 24 hours, taking the tally to 37.

38 million.

According to the health ministry, the death toll in the country reached 486,451 with 385 new fatalities recorded.
