In Verulam, drug addicts are said to have set a house on fire.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members are currently on the scene of a home fire on Ireland Street in the Verulam CBD.

After the owner died in August 2021, the house is thought to have been set on fire by drug addicts who plundered the property of all its belongings. Since then, the property has been abandoned.

The flames are being extinguished by Ethekwini Fire & Rescue Services.
