In Vancouver, Harry and Meghan Publicly Show Affection at Invictus Games While Donald Trump Mocks Their Relationship

A Moment of Unity Amidst Controversy

Over the weekend at the Invictus Games in Vancouver, Harry and Meghan were spotted sharing an intimate and affectionate moment, putting any rumors or tensions aside.

Their public display of love came just hours after Donald Trump made some sharp comments about their relationship.

The couple attended the opening ceremony of the event, which honors injured veterans, and couldn’t seem to keep their hands off each other.

Meghan, dressed in a chic £2,400 ivory trench coat made from baby alpaca wool by Sentaler, was seen leaning on Harry’s shoulder.

At one point, she gently cradled his face before sharing a kiss.

Trump’s Comments on the Couple

The affectionate moment between the Sussexes came just after former President Trump dismissed calls for Harry’s deportation.

Trump had made some critical remarks about Harry and Meghan, which stirred up quite a bit of attention.

Speaking to the New York Post, Trump said, “I don’t want to do that.

I’ll leave him alone.

He’s got enough problems with his wife.

She’s terrible.”

These comments followed a bit of controversy surrounding Harry’s visa.

In his 2023 memoir, Spare, Harry admitted to past drug use, which led the right-wing Heritage Foundation to claim he either lied on his visa application or received special treatment from President Joe Biden.

Trump’s jab at Meghan was far from a surprise, given his history of criticizing her, especially after she publicly supported Biden and labeled him as divisive and misogynistic in a 2016 interview.

Trump has been outspoken in saying he’s “not a fan” of Meghan, even going as far as calling Harry “whipped” and saying he’s “being led around by his nose.”

Harry’s Response at the Games

In a possible response to Trump’s negative remarks, Harry later took the stage at the Invictus Games, where he delivered an emotional speech celebrating the courage and humanity of the veterans in the crowd.

He spoke about the values that veterans hold, noting the many crises and moral uncertainties present in the world today.

His speech reflected the values the Games stand for, emphasizing his commitment to supporting and healing fellow service members.

In a heartfelt message to the veterans, Harry recalled his promise to himself to help others after his own military service.

He expressed a deep sense of responsibility, stating, “A promise to uphold my obligation – a sacred obligation after my own decade and privilege of military service; to do whatever I could to help my fellow brothers and sisters heal, and to champion everything we stand for.”

A Day of Fun and Relaxation

Later that day, Harry and Meghan headed to the Rogers Arena to watch an ice hockey game between the Vancouver Canucks and the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Harry was invited to drop the puck to start the game, a fun moment to take their minds off the drama surrounding them.

Afterward, they capped off the day with dinner at the renowned Vij’s Indian restaurant, owned by Vikram Vij, whose restaurant is featured in the Michelin Guide.

According to Vij, the couple was incredibly friendly, and they enjoyed a hearty meal.

Harry particularly loved the lamb popsicles, which are grilled lamb rack chops served with curry sauce.

Despite the swirling controversies, the Sussexes seemed to enjoy their time in Vancouver, focusing on supporting veterans and enjoying moments of peace with close friends.
