Etzebeth, who stands 2.03m tall and tips the scales at 122kg, effortlessly lifted his bride-to-be as the couple kissed.

The proposal appears to have taken place in Hyères, a French town on the Mediterranean coast.

Etzebeth, who has 97 Springbok caps – and a Rugby World Cup title in 2019 – to his name, will continue his career at the Sharks next season.
