Adam Rickitt, the iconic soap star known for his roles in “Coronation Street” and “Hollyoaks,” has undergone a striking transformation.

Spotted in Cheshire on Friday, the 46-year-old actor appeared almost unrecognizable with his rugged new look as he hauled barrels of beer into his craft beer shop.

Once famous for his clean-cut image and luminous blond locks, Rickitt now sports a man bun, stubbly beard, and a more relaxed style.

A New Venture

Adam Rickitt’s career has taken a fascinating turn. While his acting career continues to simmer in the background, he has recently ventured into the craft beer business. Rickitt, alongside his wife, GMB presenter Katy Rickitt, opened Dexter and Jones, a craft beer bottle shop, gin specialist, and micro bar in Knutsford.

The establishment has become a passion project for Rickitt, who has embraced the long and laborious hours that come with running his own business.

Evolution of a Soap Star

Rickitt first found fame on “Coronation Street” as Nick Tilsley, Gail Tilsley’s son, from 1997 to 1999, and again in 2004. He later appeared in “Hollyoaks” as Nancy Osborne’s fiancé, Kyle Kelly, from 2017 until 2020.

In addition to his soap opera fame, Rickitt is well-remembered for his 1999 music video “I Breathe Again,” where he appeared nude in a glass box.

The track reached number five on the UK charts, selling 76,500 copies, although his subsequent album only reached number 41, leading to his departure from the music label.

From Music to Craft Beer

Despite his setbacks in the music industry, Rickitt’s entrepreneurial spirit has flourished. His craft beer shop, Dexter and Jones, has become a local favorite.

The transition from a television heartthrob to a craft beer mogul has not been without its physical transformations.

Rickitt’s slicked-back hair now conceals his new long mousy brown locks, a far cry from his 90s straightened tresses.

Personal Life and Social Media

Rickitt’s personal life has also attracted attention. In August, he channeled his famous music video by posting nude Instagram snaps while on holiday, joking that beer had made him strip off for the shoot.

His playful caption read, “I apologise…but guess what…it’s a tradition!”

Return to Acting

Despite his busy schedule with Dexter and Jones, Rickitt has not abandoned his acting career.

In July, it was revealed that he is set to make a return to the screen in the BBC soap “Doctors,” after securing a new role.

An insider shared with The Sun, “Adam was amongst the best soap actors in the country so it was only a matter of time before he landed a new role. He’s really excited to get started on ‘Doctors’ and bosses can’t wait to see how viewers react to him.”
