Daddy Freeze Explains His Church Departure

Popular On Air Personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, known as Daddy Freeze, recently shared the reason behind his decision to stop attending church.

In the latest episode of the Teju Babyface Deep Dive podcast, he revealed that it all began when his pastor instructed him to sit at the back of the church due to his divorce proceedings.

Pastor’s Directive During Divorce

According to Daddy Freeze, during his divorce in 2014, the pastor of the church he was actively involved in asked him to start sitting at the back seat during church services.

This directive came as a shock to him as he had been a church worker and an active member of the organization.

Choosing to Stay Home

In response to the pastor’s decision, Daddy Freeze decided to stop going to church altogether instead of hiding at the back seat.

He questioned the notion that his divorce should distance him from God and found the pastor’s instruction baffling. Rather than attending church and sitting at the back, he chose to stay at home on Sundays.

Deepening Knowledge Through Study

Staying home on Sundays gave Daddy Freeze the opportunity to engage in personal scripture study and research.

This exploration of the scriptures led him to discover what he believed were flaws in the teachings of many Nigerian churches.

In his own words, “So, sitting at home on Sundays now started feeding the holes in my brain.” This decision marked a significant turning point in Daddy Freeze’s spiritual journey, prompting him to critically examine the teachings and practices of Nigerian churches.
