Howick teams swiftly respond to Bakkie-truck collision

At 16:00, Midland ems Howick teams were alerted to the Nottingham Road offramp in response to a bakkie colliding with a truck.

Upon arrival, personnel discovered the driver, who was still inside the vehicle and in critical condition. Before being pulled out of the vehicle, the patient required immediate advanced life support treatment.

He was taken to a local hospital for further treatment after being stabilized.

Local authorities are investigating the actual cause of the collision.
