Heidi Montag was overcome with emotion this morning after learning that the wildfires in Los Angeles had completely destroyed her family’s home. The reality star, who shared the Pacific Palisades mansion with her husband Spencer Pratt and their two young sons, was visibly devastated as she filmed herself in tears on Snapchat.
The Heartbreaking Moment
In her emotional video, Heidi expressed her deep sadness, saying, “I have no words… I’m so thankful that we’re safe,” as her two-year-old son Ryker tried to comfort her.
Between sobs, she added, “I’m so sad our house is gone.
I wish I could have gone back and got more.”
She admitted she never imagined that the last time she would be in their home would be for such a tragic reason.
The grief was palpable as she shared how difficult it was to lose everything she had worked for.
“Life is so crazy,” Heidi cried, reflecting on her loss.
She even wished she had packed her son Gunner’s artwork before they had to flee.
Spencer Pratt Captures the Devastation
Spencer, 41, was also seen documenting the destruction.
As the fire closed in on their neighborhood, which is home to many other celebrity estates, Spencer shared updates on Instagram.
One video showed firefighters working to contain the fire with planes dropping water onto nearby mountains.
In another clip, Spencer stood somberly on a hillside with friends and family, looking out at the advancing flames.
Despite the urgency of the situation, there were moments where bystanders remained calm, even laughing as the flames approached.
At one point, Spencer, visibly affected by the smoke and debris, wiped his eyes.
A Family’s Double Loss
In addition to their home being destroyed, Spencer revealed that his parents’ house, also located in Pacific Palisades, had been reduced to ashes.
It is feared that Spencer’s younger sister, Stephanie, may have lost her home as well.
She posted an emotional message on Instagram, sharing a picture of the fire engulfing the streets of Pacific Palisades and asking for prayers for the area.
“I don’t know if it’s a good thing I’m in London or if I need to get back to LA,” Stephanie wrote.
She admitted she was in shock, not knowing what to do.
“It’s horrible for my sweet little nephews to watch their house disappear,” she shared, expressing her concern for her family’s well-being.
A Community in Crisis
The Pacific Palisades neighborhood, home to several A-list celebrities like Ben Affleck, Reese Witherspoon, and Tom Hanks, is now grappling with the aftermath of these devastating wildfires.
As Heidi and Spencer try to cope with their loss, they are not alone in their grief—many others in the community are facing similar devastation.
