Handré Pollard is on the verge of making a significant move in the Springboks’ all-time scoring list.
With a chance to surpass Morne Steyn, Pollard is set to enhance his standing in Test history.
A Change of Plans for Pollard
After sitting out the first Test against the All Blacks at Ellis Park last week, where Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu took his place, Pollard has been reinstated to the starting lineup.
This weekend, he’ll be leading the Springbok charge in their rematch at Cape Town Stadium.
The Scoring Standings
Currently, Percy Montgomery holds the top spot as the Springboks’ leading point-scorer with 893 points from his remarkable 102-Test career.
Morne Steyn follows in second place with 742 points from 68 Tests.
Pollard, with 734 points, is just eight points behind Steyn.
He needs only nine points to surpass his former teammate and secure the second spot on the all-time list.
