“Good-looking” woman charged with murder for “killing her mum”

A Las Vegas woman who previously accused police officers of arresting her because she was too “attractive” is now accused of murdering her mother.

Police began searching for Hend Bustami, 28, after the body of her mother, 62, was discovered early Wednesday morning in a Las Vegas residence.

Bustami was apprehended hours later in Barstow, California, about 5 a.m.

The motivation remains obscure.

In August, she made headlines after being arrested at the Harry Reid Airport in Las Vegas for attempting to skip out on a Chili’s bill.

Bustami was allegedly belligerently intoxicated, and as she was being detained, she allegedly claimed that she was being harassed because the officers had never seen anyone as beautiful as her.

Wednesday morning at approximately 2:30 a.m., Bustami’s mother was discovered inside a home on June Flower Drive suffering from “multiple deep lacerations.”

Lieutenant Dave Valenta of the Las Vegas Metro Police stated that the department received a 9-1-1 call from a woman claiming that her mother had died.

Valenta stated, “At approximately 2:30 a.m., a 911 dispatcher received a call from a distraught female stating that her mother had died.” The line was then unplugged.

Bustami will be returned to Las Vegas and could be charged with first-degree murder, according to the police; however, the exact nature of her accusation remains unknown.

On August 31, Bustami was arrested at Harry Reid International Airport and charged with misbehavior.

The LVMPD received a report that Bustami walked out on a tab at the Chili’s restaurant inside the airport, and officers found her to be “belligerent” after she slowed down operations near the airport’s security checkpoint.

Bustami allegedly threatened to spit on the officers as she called them “perverts” and claimed they were attempting to rape her because they had never seen anyone as attractive.

Today was her scheduled court date for charges linked to the incident.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Bustami is a graduate of the University of Nevada-Las Vegas with a degree in Hospitality Administration and Management.

She also performs as a DJ under the name Afrodyte.
