Golden Arrows beat Chippa United 3-2 in Durban on Saturday for their first home win of the season.

Ntsikelelo Nxadi’s 18th-minute set piece opened the floodgates for Arrows.

The tall defender evaded his man to head a Mduduzi Sibiya pass beyond Chippa goalkeeper Sipho Chaine.

Five minutes later, Sibiya converted a penalty after Justice Chabalala soft-touched Knox Mutizwa.

Pule Mmodi’s goal three minutes before halftime ended Chippa’s terrible first half.

Pule tapped in an empty net after Mutizwa shrugged off a defender’s tackle.

Chippa’s second-half attitude and fight were rewarded with two goals in four minutes.

Etiosa Ighodaro scored after Arrows box mayhem. Nigerian international scored after keeper’s clearance landed at his feet.

Ronald Pfumbidzai scored after Nkosingiphile Gumede palmed a bouncing ball into his path.

The home side resisted Chippa’s second-half siege as they sought their first victory of the season.
