General Manager expresses commitment to supporting NGOs committed to Adamawa development

The General manager Adamawa Broadcasting Corporation Yola Chief Alleni Ethan Dah has expressed his commitment to supporting Non-Governmental Organisations that have shown genuine commitment to the development of Adamawa state.
Chief Ethan Dah stated this when the Management of ABC Yola hosted members of a non-governmental organisation, Society for Women and girl Child Empowerment who paid him an advocacy visit.
The General Manager represented by the Director News Malam Ismaila Muhammed acknowledged that the girl children and women are facing a lot of challenges ranging from rape, withdrawal from school and other forms of gender based violence, hence the need to enlighten the general to stand against the vices.
Earlier the Executive Director, Society for Women and Girl Child Empowerment, Mrs Laureta Charles briefed the management of ABC Yola on the mission of their organization which include to promote and protect women’s rights through good governance.
Mrs Laureta said currently, the NGO is working on a project to enlighten the public on the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Law VAPP, recently enacted in Adamawa.
