Gargash meets High Representative for the Horn of Africa

ABU DHABI, 25th January, 2022 – Dr.

Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President, has met with Olusegun Obasanjo, the African Union High Representative for the Horn of Africa.

During the meeting, the two sides commended the historical relations between the United Arab Emirates and the African continent countries and ways to develop them further to serve common interests and mutual benefits.

Gargash and the African Union reviewed the latest developments in the Horn of Africa and ways to enhance security and stability in the region to ensure the well-being and prosperity of its countries and peoples.

He highlighted the UAE’s support for the efforts made by the African Union to bring peace to the Horn of Africa, out of its belief in the importance of spreading peace, cooperation and solidarity among various countries of the world.
